How does an interior designer choosing a color that works.

Good Interior designed homes always have a beautiful color palette that flows between rooms

Interior Designer – Each individual has his own world in terms of choosing the color. So..The clients color scheme can be created by looking at theirs fashions.

“Your color scheme is the colors you LOVE! “

Knowing what colors to apply to a specific environment helps control the human reaction to that space.

Here are the three golden rules in choosing colors:

The very important thing you have to look at in any room is the shape and where your eye naturally goes. After that, you can only divide every room in at least three-part color scheme.

  1. The 1st part color scheme is neutrals color.
  2. The 2nd part for your color scheme is the colors you LOVE!
  3. The 3rd part is the accent colors.

“Your interior color palette is the coordination of the colors you like. How you coordinate the colors is important.”

Do not forget that everything has color tones, including furniture, sofa, accessories, plants, so you even want to be aware of the plant colors. Often times your accent colors are just too bright to use in a whole room.

Psychology of color

The psychology of color for interior design recently introduced and applied in business, advertising, and personal home design.

Need to be further studied and perceived by every designer on color psychology.

Warm colors induce a sense of excitation, appetite, invitation, and collective social behavior. Cool colors induce a sense of calm, repose, reflection, and quiet.

Lighting

Color is a science, it is a huge subject. One of the very most important things about color is lighting.

Natural light definitely affects the way a color on the wall is viewed. The color will look differently at various times of the day.

Natural light is the most full-bodied light. It does however have the capacity to be overwhelming at times, and it changes with the seasons, and the direction of exposure, and the time of day. So, understanding natural light is critical to getting positive benefits from it.

Artificial lighting also changes color. Incandescent light bulbs emit a warm glow and fluorescent light bulbs emit a cool glow.

Without light there is no visible color. That is why it is absolutely essential to view all your selections in the room, if possible, in the lighting that they will ultimately be in.

Textures and environment

One more thing about color is that textures can change the color.

Study your environment. Do you live in the woods with windows that look on to the many different shades of green leaves or a fifth floor condo with the view of the urban building landscape? Determine how important your view is and if you want to make it part of your interior space. This can give you a clue to selecting colors. If the view is important to you consider your window as blocks of existing color you need to coordinate with.

Color test before the whole

I recommend TEST FIRST, getting those samples and checking them in the room or rooms they are going to be used in first.

It is still important to buy a small amount of paint the color that you are choosing and paint a 20 x 20 cm sample on several areas (at least one light area and one shade area, also, 2 different walls is recommended) where you are thinking of painting it as test samples.

Do this before painting the whole area and this one recommendation can save a lot of time, heartaches, mistakes and money.
